AeroGarden Water Reservoir (2020 AeroVoir)

I decided to add the 2020 AeroVoirs to my system for a little helping hand in keeping the correct water levels in the grow beds. Above, you can see the 2020 AeroVoir next to the AeroGarden Farm 24XL which is sitting on top of a shelving unit (simply to keep it safe from pet traffic).

Because we have the AeroGarden Farm 24XL, we had to purchase two of the 2020 AeroVoirs (one for each side of the garden). They came nicely packaged as seen above and came with instructions for their installation (seen below)--and the installation was a breeze.

The 2020 AeroVoir holds 1.3 gallons of water. It is 4"W x 9.5"L x 13.5"H, has a black plastic bottom and clear plastic reservoir. The clear plastic makes it simple to see what the water level in the reservoir is. According to the Aerogarden website, the 2020 AeroVoir can be used with any AeroGarden; we are only using the AeroGarden Farm 24XL.

The instructions for set up were clear and easy to follow. Basically, you fill the unit with water, remove the plug in your garden, insert the tube from the 2020 AeroVoir into your garden (see below), squeeze the pump five times, and it is ready to go. Simple as that!

This is how our garden looks following the installation of the 2020 AeroVoir.

Note: We did have to raise the water reservoirs a little bit following the final installation. It appeared that they were high enough, but I did notice that they were not filling the grow beds. After the little adjustment, these reservoirs worked wonders.

Now that the 2020 AeroVoir is installed, we can better answer the question, "Is it worth it?"

Currently there is a sale on the 2020 AeroVoir. The price is normally $39.95 for each unit. We purchased ours for $31.96. The reason I decided to purchase the 2020 AeroVoir was really peace of mind. Although I have the app to remind me when my garden needs water, I did not want to run the risk of my water levels dropping too low. The 2020 AeroVoir seemed like a good insurance policy that would buy me a day or two in case something came up and I couldn't manually add water to my garden.

I did not really consider other options to the 2020 AeroVoir because these units are made for the AeroGarden system. They fit seamlessly together. We bought these directly from AeroGarden and the process couldn't have been easier. We ordered them and they were delivered in a couple of days.

The regular price of $39.95 felt a little high to me when, let's face it, if you are diligent enough, you can keep your grow beds filled to the correct level without using the AeroVoir, but as I said, I bought these as an insurance policy, an "in case of emergency plan". So for that reason alone, I feel that the 2020 AeroVoir is worth the price. The 2020 AeroVoir is also worth it for its ease of use and seamless connection to the garden.

We will keep you updated as we continue to use the AeroVoirs. If you have any questions, please send them along and I will do my best to answer. Happy gardening!
